As is tradition, here's the yearly post about blanket permission statements, also called transformative works policies. For the purposes of this exchange, you do NOT need one. However, as per the rules, if you are requesting transformative work (i.e., work that involves manipulating another fanwork in some way) such as podfic, translation, recursive work, or similar, you MUST indicate in your signup if you're okay with your own work being transformed to fill your prompt.
Blanket permission statements do not have to be a blanket yes to anything and everything. It's okay to provide stipulations or caveats to your policy, such as "don't translate any of my works in [x fandom]" or "please link back to my original text when podficcing". For some examples, check out the Fanlore article about blanket statements. Anyone may copy and use, in full or in part, my own statement on my AO3 profile.
If you are not comfortable or interested in posting a transformative works policy more generally, but would be comfortable with the possibility of your works being transformed specifically for this exchange, please feel free to leave a comment with the following information:

- What kinds of transformative works you're okay with
- Any restrictions, caveats, or conditions (including what, if any, fandoms or works are off-limits)

Date: 2022-05-16 01:50 am (UTC)Also nerdsandthelike has a transformative works policy & I would like to receive a podfic of any one of their The Old Guard works. Is there a way to articulate this in a signup or is that outside the scope/structure of the exchange?

Date: 2022-05-17 12:22 am (UTC)It sounds like that's a little beyond the capability of this exchange in terms of matchability -- you are of course welcome to indicate that you're a fan of their work and would be interested in receiving a podfic of their works, but there's really no way to guarantee that's what you'd receive (and I'd probably personally treat it similarly to requesting A/B/C in the optional details of an A/B and A/C request -- nice to give other options as well).
(Though that might be a cool idea for an event as well, to directly match podficcers and authors to create specific works...)
